May is here, its hot outside with ocassional rains and storms coming in at Kochi. A lot of my plans for this month is to experiment with stuff that I normally don't do as a way to try something new.

Short form content is an addiction ?

I have been noticing that I have started to have an impulse to start scrolling for short form content on Instagram and YouTube. I have a doubt if this is some sort of addiction or weird brain psychology thing that this going on. I wanted to test myself on that so I have decided to experiment with not watching short form content this month. This is actually turning out to be harder than I thought. I get DMs from friends in Instagram and we usually share reels back and forth to each other that usually leads to me seeing the reel and impulsively scroll. I am trying to catch myself from doing that, but it just happens so subconsciously that I only realize it after the fact, but I will keep on trying.

May the agents be with you

Is it just me or are the AI agent subscriptions getting more expensive as the months pass by, it is pretty inevitable since these AI companies are not exactly making a ton of money and are burning through the investments to gain traction. I have been capping my expense to a fixed amount usually and I noticed I hesitated on additional spending and AI usage in April. So I am taking up an experiment this month and will be removing any caps on AI spending, trying to push myself to use AI agents and play around the field a ton more. Basically, I want to gauge, is the bottleneck on my output now on the AI spending side or my energy side.

Music I am listening to

This is a new section I am hoping to do everytime I update the now page and make it a consistent part of this from now on.

On my flight from Toronto to Dubai (on the way back home to Kochi), which was on April 1, I thought it would be fitting to watch through Your Lie in April (link may have spoilers!) to fit with the April theme. I enjoyed the anime although the trope is a bit trodden for me as there is many other works that go through the same story beats. But the soundtrack in it is really good! I have been hearing them as background music while working and it is really amazing! Really nice piano scores!

Along with that, I had watched Violet Evergarden over the span of my SF trip and that was really amazing as well. I was introduced to Evan Call through Frieren's soundtrack but I will say his work on this OST is the best! Really evoking stuff!

I have been noticing April has been a month where I have listened to any music the least, mostly because I was watching videos and podcasts and stuff for the most part, I want to get back to more music this month.
